Sermon 13 What God's rainbow still means today

Date:3/26/23

Series: Genesis Sermon Series

Passage: Genesis 9:1-17

Speaker: jeff blaine

our faith is based on a lot of nostalgic sentiment
The cross…what type of sentiment do you experience when you see a cross?
Communion…what type of sentiment do you experience when you partake of communion?
Songs…what type of sentiment do you experience when you sing a particular song?
Church building… what type of sentiment do you experience when you see an old church?
I guess the reason nostalgia comes to mind because I believe there is a common symbol that we all have experienced and I wonder if it carries the same sentiment with you that it did with Noah?
After the flood God placed a rainbow in the sky and each of us have experienced a rainbow maybe even a double rainbow and I am curious as to what sentiment did you experience?
Do you experience any kind of nostalgia when you see a rainbow?
I believe the Christian is to be nostalgic about the rainbow.
I believe the Christian can experience a deep sentiment every time they witness a rainbow in the sky
today I want to encourage you to be thoughtful and learn about the sentiment of the rainbow that God places in the sky.
