Sermon 29 Genesis 21:1-8 How God intends to give you laughter for His glory
I wonder how many of us think about laughter and God in the same sentence?
I would be curious on the percentage of people who believe that
following God's word will lead to laughter?
What would be the percentage of people who attend church
& claim to be Christians believe that following God’s word
will lead to laughter?
Let’s get a little more personal: how man people in this room or
watching online believe that following God’s Word
will lead to laughter?
How many of us believe this when it comes to God…
A patient about to go in for surgery at a small hospital was very
nervous. Noticing his concern, the head surgeon traipsed up to him and
said, "Don't worry, in all of my experience as a surgeon,
only one other patient has died."
Really?" the patient replied, already beginning to feel a little
reassured. "How many other patients have you had?"
the surgeon replied. “You’re my second"

Alot of us have a morbid belief in submitting to God much like this
patient had a morbid belief in submitting to the physician.
patient had a morbid belief in submitting to the physician.
It is all too easy to distrust God and assume only the worst will
happen; laughter does not enter our mind when you have a morbid belief in submitting to God.
