There are certain words that sound more ominous that others
Just the mention of certain words can elicit fear or other emotions
What do you think of when you hear the words “dark thoughts”?
What do you think of when someone is described as living a “dark lifestyle”?
Some people have a “dark past”
Or when referring to their past some say that was a dark time of my life
Darkness, in contrast to light, is a heavy word.
If you can hear my voice, it’s likely you have had a dark time in your life…
What is this darkness?
Jesus refers to it in today’s text: John 12:46
Jesus clearly was aware that the world He created needed light
Jesus was fully aware that darkness had overcome His creation.
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them…Ephesians 5:11
The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:12
