What do you expect each week as you read your bible, go to church, or pray?

Cambridge Dictionary says the definition of expectation is:
the feeling that good things are going to happen in the future
the feeling of expecting something to happen
the feeling or belief that something will or should happen

In many respects the goal of the Israelites to reach the promise land
is not unlike the NT goal to reach Heaven; we expect God to bring us to a place free from slavery & suffering, a place that is
eternally good.
