In short: if you are a believer, a Christ follower, a God lover…you have a divided heart.
The Apostle Paul knew this: For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. Galatians 5:17
You cannot follow your heart as a believer in Christ as a God lover Paul said this 2000 years ago, David said it 1000 years before that
Psalm 86 is from King David…listen to his prayer in Psalm 86:11 “give me an undivided heart” “unite my heart”
Give me a heart that doesn’t want anything more than to worship you. NIRV
Here we are 3000 years later from Psalm 86 & what are you willing to admit about your own heart?
You know as well as I do that all of us struggle with a united heart that is focused on worshipping God
All of us have heart disease…all of us will die from our heart disease unless we repent of our heart issues.
How long is your death from a deceptive heart? Forever, eternal…
This must be a priority for all of us to address is the reality of our heart being divided.
