God delights in forgiving you…
God desires to forgive you & delights in forgiving you…
What are you doing with your forgiveness?
Psalm 32 is a Maskil psalm…there are 13 psalms that are maskil psalms
Maskil psalms are instructive psalms; meaning they are written to instruct the reader on a manner.
Since the writer is David, inspired by the Holy Spirit, then it stands to reason that David is trying to teach us something.
What is David teaching us?
Great question but perhaps a question to ask first is: how come David desires to teach us?
Read Psalm 51:12-13
David in Psalm 51 is reckoning with the fact that he sinned against the Lord & after wrestling with his own sin asked our God that the joy of being saved be his to experience again.
David is agreeing with God that he sinned & asked God to restore joy to his life…the result? Psalm 32
David has experienced the delightful joy of being forgiven & wrote Psalm 32 to instruct us on the experience forgiveness.
David chose to do something with the delight of his forgiveness…
Where are you in delighting in your forgiveness?
There is a delight & a “must” to our forgiveness…we must do something with our delightful experience of being forgiven of our sin.
What are you doing with the delight of your forgiveness?
